MICHELLE DAWN: “What Happens When the Mind Looks at Itself”

milky-way-923801

In the absence of mindfulness, it is easy to get caught up in difficult situations without even realizing we’re caught up in them. Perhaps it is a difficult person, an obstacle in a relationship, or a financial struggle. It could be any type of burden upon the spirit. When we start investing more energy toward observing the burden than toward the cultivation of our self-awareness, we begin to experience suffering. We may even sometimes project the suffering onto other people. We may [unintentionally] judge someone when we are suffering in this way — especially if we perceive that person to be the cause of our suffering.

This is not compassion.

This is not awareness.

In a past situation when I acknowledged that my lack of personal awareness was what was truly affecting me, I could see that I was putting too much effort in trying to be helpful (and getting nowhere in the process) which I believed was causing me to suffer. Implementing mindfulness allowed me to communicate calmly, openly, and honestly. I now have an entirely different view and a deeper understanding of things, as well as a clear view of my own path.

We can only move forward when we recognize what it is in ourselves that is allowing the suffering to occur. Perhaps we can find ways to grow in the situation, or perhaps we find that it really is time to move on from it in order to grow. Either way, choosing to stay in the situation without any hope for it to improve infects and disrupts the situation further.

“The human mind has the capacity to look at itself.” — Thay Phap Luu

I was deeply moved by a dharma talk by Thay Phap Luu “The Practice of Non-Fear” which helped clarify how, through mindfulness alone, we can embrace difficult, unexpected, and emotional situations.

The Steps to Mindfulness

Breath | Mindfulness. Practice of mindfulness begins by following the breath. Simply noticing the breath as it flows into and then back out of the body, the way the lungs expand when we inhale, and then contract again when we exhale.

Recognizing | Developing Concentration.   We cultivate our awareness as we learn to follow the breath all the way through the inhale, continuing all the way through the exhale. We notice when our attention comes away from the breath and must come back to the breath through our intention. Thay Phap Luu defines this as recognizing.

Embracing | Experiencing the Body. We can then begin to apply recognizing to other situations. For example, when we are able to recognize when our emotions are difficult, we can choose not to plant the seed of that emotion or allow those challenging feelings to turn into negativity. We can simply recognize them, choose to embrace them, and then more easily choose to let them go.

Soothing | Calming the Body. We create a larger capacity to soothe ourselves as we continue to train ourselves to recognize and accept who we are. Through this we are not only settling the mind, but also calming the body. This leads us to the threshold of creating the habits which can lead us to personal freedom.

Experiencing Joy. By continually choosing to care for ourselves in this way, we create conditions for joy to become possible. The experience of joy is a sign of freedom in the purest form.

While developing a mindfulness practice, it is important to remember that it is not something to be perfected, but rather something to be practiced. It is a continuum. The beauty of practicing is that we can and will learn from each experience, as we consciously guide ourselves to becoming more emotionally and spiritually mature.

TANAAZ (Forever Conscious): “10 Signs from the Universe That You Are Walking The Wrong Way”

signs you are on the wrong path

There is no wrong path in this life. All roads lead home, it just depends which journey you want to take.

At times in our lives however, we can become lost or stuck on a particular stretch of road. We may also find ourselves wondering down a path that perhaps doesn’t seem to be aligning with what we wish to create for our lives.

If you are questioning whether you are on the right track, if things are starting to feel off balance to you, here are 10 subtle signs the Universe will send to help steer you in a different direction-

1.) Careless Accidents

Stubbed your toe or knocked your elbow a few times today? It could very well be a sign from the Universe that you need to slow down and think before taking your next steps forward.

Running into things and injuring yourself could be a sign that you are ignoring your intuition or failing to see the truth behind a certain situation.

While stubbing your toe may be just an accident, if it happens repeatedly it could be a sign from the Universe that you need to take a closer look at things.

2.) Forgetfulness

If you find yourself repeatedly losing things or forgetting things, it could be a sign that you need to check in with yourself and perhaps take a moment to get centered and grounded before moving forward.

It may also be a sign that you need to get clearer about what it is that you want to create and achieve for your life.

3.) Being Late Constantly

Whether you are late because you got stuck in traffic or because you lost track of time, being repeatedly late or feeling as if you have to constantly race against the clock is a sign from the Universe that you need to pay attention to.

Being late or feeling constantly pressed for time means that you are spreading yourself too thin and are out of alignment with what you really want to do.

When you are in the flow of life, time flows along with you, but when you get separated from that flow, you are more likely to notice time impacting on your life.

4.) Cluttered Environment

No matter how hard you seem to clean, if you find that clutter simply follows you or accumulates in one area of your home, it could be a sign from the Universe that something needs addressing.

Clutter can be a sign that you are failing to see the truth or that you are avoiding clearing something from your past that is stuck in your subconscious.

The area of your home where the clutter is presenting itself may also indicate what the underlying emotional reason is. For example clutter in the kitchen could indicate issues with giving and receiving self love and nourishment, whereas clutter in the bedroom could indicate intimacy or relationship issues.

5.) Breaking or Dropping Things

If you find yourself constantly breaking or dropping things, it could be a sign from the Universe that you are walking a destructive path or that you are sabotaging yourself from achieving success.

Breaking or dropping things may also indicate a need for you to release control and perhaps surrender to the flow of the Universe. This is especially true if you are feeling stuck or stagnant in a particular area in your life.

6.) Getting Sick

If you find yourself getting infections, coughs or colds repeatedly it could be a sign from the Universe that you need to slow down and reconsider the direction of your life. It can also be a sign that you are making your life decisions based on what other people want and not what you want.

Getting sick repeatedly is also a sign that you need to change your life in some way to support getting more rest, nourishment and enjoyment.

7.) Not Wanting To Think About It

Don’t want to think or talk about it? This is a clear sign that you are failing to see the truth about the direction of your life.

When you don’t want to talk or think about something important, it is often because intuitively you are afraid of hearing the answer. It may also be that you know what it is that you need to do, but you are afraid to take action on it.

If you find yourself suppressing thoughts or being afraid to “go there”, it may help to reconnect with your soul and get clear about what it is that you truly want.

8.) Anxiety or Stress

If a rush of anxiety enters the pit of your belly before walking into work everyday, it could be a clear indication that you are not in the right place.

Of course, anxiety can appear for different reasons but if you find yourself constantly feeling stressed or anxious surrounding a particular place or person, you may need to dig a little deeper to find the cause.

Anxiety and stress in general can also be a clear sign from the Universe that you need to make some changes in your life and perhaps align what you are doing in your life with what you want to achieve.

9.) Struggling to Finish Projects

Do you get the inspiration to start a project but then constantly fail to complete it?

Not being able to carry through with a project is a clear sign that you may be off balance or lacking groundedness in your life. It may also be a sign that the projects you wish to create are not aligned with your highest path or intentions.

If you struggle to carry through with your ideas, the best thing to do is go within and surrender to the flow of the Universe. When you do this, a new pathway may present itself that will help to get your idea off the ground.

Struggling to finish projects is usually a sign that you need to surrender control and also believe in yourself more in order to continue down the path that you wish to.

10.) Feeling Bored

If you find yourself feeling bored with life, it is a very good sign that you are not living up to your fullest potential. Life is amazing and full of opportunities, there is no reason that you should feel bored.

Feeling bored comes when you have become too comfortable with your life and are perhaps running on auto pilot rather than living each day to its fullest.

If you feel bored, perhaps look at where you can make some changes in your life, such as picking up a new hobby, changing careers or travelling.

The Universe is always sending us signs to help guide us along the path. The best thing you can do is trust your intuition when a sign presents itself and remain open to the possibilities.

Confused about what the Universe may be trying to tell you? Try asking the Universe for a sign. Read more here.

PALLAVI THAKUR: “14 Things Your Soul Wants You To Know”

What does your soul want you to know?

1. What does your soul want you to know?

We get so involved in the nitty-gritty of life that we often forget the most important lessons we came here to learn – the lessons that our inner spirit is trying to teach us during our relatively short stay here on earth. Since the soul is the fountainhead of wisdom of guidance, it is always trying to communicate with us. Each life experience is an invitation to live as closely as possible to our soul’s true essence. This is what your soul wants you know…

2. You are OK just as you are

The main goal of life is to not really change, grow or transform yourself. It is to be at peace with who you are at any given moment despite what you have done or not done; said or not said. Transformation is a choice we all have, but from the soul’s perspective, it is not the greatest priority.

3. You are meant to feel deeply

You are meant to REALLY feel. Don’t hold back your tears, and don’t think it is wimpy, soft, or overly sensitive to expressive yourself. It is healthy to feel deeply and to give yourself permission to experience the richness of human emotion. Feel love. Feel sadness. Don’t walk in between as you daydream, really take the time to amerce yourself in the moment. This is what life is all about.

4. Be mindful

Mindfulness is simply the focus of your attention on the present moment, but it is anything but simple. With chaotic schedules, multi-tasking and an over-worked society, it is often hard to remain in the present and not get lost in the chaos that surrounds us. Mindfulness has roots in Buddhism, but most religions and spirituality practices include some attention towards love, kindness, and appreciation for a perspective on life that is bigger than oneself.

5. Your soul wants you to know stillness

When we are still, we can truly listen. As we listen we open ourselves to understand and it is within the stillness that we can feel the greatest connection to our soul’s wisdom. That is why meditation, being still in nature and finding a quiet moment for ourselves feel so appealing. They are opportunities to connect with who we truly are. Kind, compassionate, gentle and wise. We just have to listen.

6. Let go of outcome

When we work hard at something, it’s natural to want some kind of “reward.” But when you become attached to outcome, it can take the joy out of the process. Life presents us with infinite variations of this important distinction—between what we can change and what we can’t, between what is within our control and what isn’t.

7. The present moment is the most precious thing

The present moment is the most precious thing

People don’t realize that now is all there ever is; there is no past or future except as memory or anticipation in your mind. Most humans are never fully present in the now, because unconsciously they believe that the next moment must be more important than this one. But then you miss your whole life, which is never not now. “As soon as you honor the present moment, all unhappiness and struggle dissolve, and life begins to flow with joy and ease.

8. Perspective is a beautiful thing

Typically, when we’re worried or upset, it’s because we’ve lost perspective. Everything that is happening in our lives seems so big, so important, so do or die, but in the grand picture, this single hiccup often means next to nothing. The fight we’re having, the job we didn’t get, the real or imagined slight, the unexpected need to shift course, the thing we wanted, but didn’t get. Most of it doesn’t really matter.

9. Self worth cannot be verified by others

If you constantly seek outside yourself for approval and validation, you will never be happy. We are all different and we all perceive things in different ways but your reputation is not something you can really control. Your reputation is not really in your hands, so stop trying to please everyone around you and start pleasing your own SELF.

10. All that you need is already within you

All that you need is already within you

In this moment you have it all, right NOW and right here, there is nothing lacking. Take time to be quiet at least 5 minutes per day and in time you will discover that you do have access to HAPPINESS, PEACE, ABUNDANCE and all that is good at all times.

11. Everything in life is temporary

Every time it rains, it stops raining. Every time you get hurt, you heal. After darkness there is always light – you are reminded of this every morning, but still you often forget, and instead choose to believe that the night will last forever. It won’t. Nothing lasts forever.

12. Accept

To complain is always nonacceptance of what is. It invariably carries an unconscious negative charge. When you complain, you make yourself into a victim. When you speak out, you are in your power. So change the situation by taking action or by speaking out if necessary or possible; leave the situation or accept it. All else is madness.

13. Go out of your way to be loving and kind

Almost everything comes full circle. People who love themselves come across as very caring, generous and kind to others too; they express their self-confidence through humility, forgiveness and inclusiveness. So seek to understand others before you attempt to judge.

14. You need to clean the clutter

As Einstein once said, “Out of clutter, find simplicity; from discord, find harmony; in the middle of difficulty, lies opportunity.” Sometimes we make life more complicated than it is. We attach our happiness to achievement and then look for it in all the wrong ways and in all the wrong places. Of course, you don’t have to live like this. If you feel like you are, it’s time to simplify things. It’s time to clear the air and get back to the basics.

15. Your troubles are gradually improving you

Your troubles are gradually improving you

Someday when you least expect it life will blindside you with necessary chaos. And once the chaos has ended, you won’t remember exactly how it all transpired, how you made it through, or where you found the strength you needed to carry on. You won’t even be sure whether the chaos has completely ended. But there is one thing you can be sure about: When it does finally come to an end, you will be a much stronger person than who you were before it happened, which is precisely why it was necessary.

STEPHANIE LUCAS: “Surviving Twin Flame Relationships – 4 Tips for Mindfulness”

Twin Flame Relationships

There’s nothing more surreal, ethereal, or divine than two harmonious lovers walking the journey together. Two cosmic flames reuniting physically on the earthly plane in search of Source, the Higher Self…to rediscover what is there all along but has been obscured by the human experience and its trials.

Twin Flames and Soul Mates can meld seamlessly for the first few weeks and months or even years, but as the flames grow higher and burn stronger, you and your mirror image will begin feeling the heat in areas beyond the boudoir.  Yes, some fiery confrontations can occur in twin flame relationships, especially once the ‘bubble love’ phase transitions into a deeper realization of your cosmic connection.

Why? Because as exhilarating as it is, discovering your twin can be an intimidating experience. Theoretically, you’re in relations with the other half of your soul essence, so resisting the urge to have expectations and fears that can lead to disagreements can be ‘simply irresistible.’  Before calling it quits or calling the fire department on these occasions, here are a few ways contain the heat of these cosmic connections.

Twin Flame Relationships

Balance Intimacy with Spirituality

Anyone can fall in love. That’s the easy part. But, it’s going to take work – really challenging work on the physical, emotional, and spiritual levels – to make your partnership succeed and for you to STAY in love. Now, if you’re truly with your Twin Flame, you shouldn’t be having any issues with intimacy. In fact, you may be enjoying that connection so much that spiritual connection time together is being neglected. Of course, intimacy IS spiritual in twin flame relationships. It’s the spirituality involved in spending time together soul gazing, meditating, communing in nature, doing yoga, developing your Kundalini presence or exploring the amplified healing abilities TFs are purported to have. These types of practices are what allow you to have balanced, positive energy so you can nurture not only your soul but to also tend to your partners when needed, In short, don’t neglect the SOUL work.

Twin Flame RelationshipsBe Open as Both a Student and Teacher

These special partnerships are of cosmic design, and they are intended to help us assist one another in becoming everything we are meant to be both as individuals and as a union before the process of ascension. Your partner mirrors your own issues back at you, and naturally, we can be resistant to these lessons because they are typically painful for us to see – especially once we consider ourselves to be ‘above’ those places we once were. There is no direct path to our final destination, and our human selves may refuse to see and acknowledge that dark side… to bare ourselves down to the core where both the darkness and light coincide so we can learn those tough lessons – sometimes over and over again. Don’t be afraid to be naked in your relations with your partner… let your beloved also be your teacher and guide. In return, allow them to be your student by letting them know who you really are and be honest in communicating your lessons.

Hold Back with Hypersensitivity

When times are trying it’s tempting for Twin Flames to Run in Troubled Times, but true twin flames must realize that they are a mirror image of one another, reflecting their own personal issues back at their partner, so naturally there is sensitivity to seeing those weaknesses. You’ll be hypersensitive to each other’s energies, both high and low, positive and negative – especially when those ‘lessons’ and ‘mirror’ issues crop up. This is the time to truly evaluate the role of the Ego, of YOUR Ego, and let it go. Choosing to communicate in a productive, kind, and loving way when disagreements arise rather than taking offense opens the door for healing. However, times when you realize your reaction was less impressive or productive, try to see your reaction as an opportunity to look within yourself and address any old baggage you’re harboring that fuels any undesirable responses.

Twin Flame Relationships

Live, Laugh, Love

As you ease into the comfort zone with your twin flame relationship, you will propel beyond being in love to just BEing LOVE. You’ll enjoy life more as you laugh and love together, allowing your relations with one another and the actions you bring into the world will to be like a mesmerizing song, an eloquent dance, a meditation or prayer, honoring and appreciating each moment with grace and humility. Be that LOVE, and all of your relationships will thrive even in the toughest of times.

ANDREA SCHULMAN: “Are You Energy Sensitive? 6 Telling Signs”

Are you energy sensitive? Here are some powerful practices to overcome the feeling of "I'm delusional"

1. Deep empathy for others:

You can often spot the most energy sensitive person in the room when there is someone around who is hurt or upset.  Energy sensitive people are often the “first responders,” there to hold a hand, give a hug or lend a listening ear.  Energy sensitive people often feel other people’s emotions (and sometimes their physical pain too), and so they easily understand and empathize with people who are suffering.

2. Emotional rollercoasters:

Having a keen sense of vibrational energy often means that the high times feel very high but the low times feel very low.  Having some plans in place to help you raise your vibration can be very helpful,  especially during low times!

3. Addictions:

Being energy sensitive means you “feel” a lot more than many people.  To avoid feeling low vibrational energy, these individuals may lean on substances like drugs or alcohol in order to numb out the pain of negative sensory input.  They may also have a proclivity for other types of addictions, like food, gambling or shopping.

4. Being an excellent judge of character:

Energy sensitive people are often very aware of other people’s motivations, and many times they can “just tell when” someone is bad news.  This can be a very beneficial trait, as it makes one less likely to be conned or taken advantage of.

5. Possible introversion:

Not all sensitive folks are introverts, but many often are.  It can be overwhelming to take on the emotions and feelings of other people, and so often energy sensitive people withdraw and seek alone time in order to stabilize. They are often likely to feel drained after prolonged social interactions.

6. Receiving signs:

People who are sensitive to energy are much more likely to be aware of the signs the universe is sending to them.  They are more likely to find meaning in events and circumstances that most other people see as simply “coincidental.”

As you can see, being energy sensitive is a bit of a double-edged sword.  Being attuned to vibrational energy allows one to have a deeper understanding of the universe, but it also can lead to a degree of overstimulation, and this can cause a variety of problems if left unaddressed.

If you think you may be energy sensitive, there are a number of things you can do harness the power of your gifts and cope with the struggles of sensitivity.

First and foremost, anything that can help you intentionally raise your vibration or the vibration of your environment can be highly beneficial.  I personally recommend daily meditation or yoga for mental (and physical) training.  Saging your home and workspace regularly is also recommended.

Be mindful of the people you surround yourself with, and allow yourself to step away from toxic people, events and circumstances when you are feeling overwhelmed.  It is also very important to work toward self-acceptance, and learn how to love yourself and your gifts.

Being born into this world as an energy sensitive person comes with a unique set of responsibilities.  The constant influx of energy from one’s environment can be a overwhelming and painful at times.

However, when one learns how to manage this gift, great things can happen.  Reading energy and being able to empathize with others can be a tremendous asset.  Energy sensitive folks are well-equipped to evoke positive change in the world, and have the capacity to be some of the world’s greatest leaders, healers and teachers.

So, do you think you are energy sensitive?

Thanks for reading,

Andrea

CARYN GRIDLAND: “The Age Of Consciousness”

The Age Of Consciousness

Some argue that we, as a human race, are regressing. We are destroying the planet with mindless acts of deforestation and ever-increasing mining, forcing species to extinction, and emitting tons of carbon. Causing ocean acidification, depleting food, water and energy supplies and so on. Interestingly, despite these, and other horrifically destructive acts, more people than ever before are entering a new age of knowing or awareness. Has the Age of Consciousness arrived?

More people understand the meaning of the word consciousness and its implications than ever before. Has the tipping point finally been reached? If so, why now? Is it the result of increasing numbers of people searching for meaning, purpose and connection in their lives? Can we thank Quantum Physics and Neuroscience for answering questions that once divided spiritual and scientific thinkers? Or is it that people have had enough of current ways of doing things and the devastating effects on the planet? The list of possibilities is endless.

While the reason may be elusive, there is no denying that, as a human race, our awareness is evolving at an alarming rate. A few years ago the word “conscious” meant being awake and aware of what was going on around you in your immediate environment. Unconscious meant being asleep, knocked out, or unaware of what was going on around you.

In the new Age of Consciousness, “conscious” means something much more. It may be more akin to mindfulness – awareness of one’s existence, thoughts, feelings and environment. And it goes even further – being awake, alive, accepting of life as it is, connecting with others on deeper levels, being present to the bigger picture, and the greater good for all. It is the recognition of interconnection between ourselves and our world. The most profound level of responsibility imaginable – that each of us, and our thoughts, feelings, and intentions create the world we live in.

What evidence is there for the Age of Consciousness?

By now some of you may be thinking where has this hippy been hanging out? No I didn’t just step off a plane from Byron Bay or Ibud, Bali, to find evidence for my assertion. I didn’t need to.

The Age of Consciousness is gradually unfolding in all areas of society from our daily lives to our business practices. It seems that everywhere we turn there is reference to mindfulness, or consciousness, people making a difference, changing our world, or giving back in some form or another. Conscious philosophies and practices are gradually finding their way into mainstream society. In time, this can only lead to a huge shift in humanity.

Only last week I was visiting the Head Office of an international bank and a beautiful painting caught my eye. Admiringly, I walked closer and noticed there was a Hindu God in the center of the painting. To the left was an image of the chakras. I have come to expect to see paintings like this in retreats in exotic places, not in banks in the middle of Sydney CBD.

Two weeks ago I heard a story about a café on Sydney’s Northern beaches with a quote from Erkhart Tolle on a blackboard inside. When my friend told the chef she liked it, he told her of his passionate plans for developing consciousness in children around the world.

A few weeks ago a client forwarded me a brochure for a Mindful Leadership program advertised to the public sector. Is mindfulness moving into the public sector too?

A few months ago an electrician arrived at a client’s office with “compassion” written on the sleeve of his shirt. I asked him why and he told me it was a charity his company supports.

And these are just a few local examples – what about the Bangladeshi bank focused on ending world poverty? Or the increasing cafes around the world that operate on donation only? Or the vast number of businesses around the world that donate to charities when you purchase a coffee, or have an introductory meeting with an accountant, and so on?

More people than ever before are talking about consciousness, mindfulness and social change. It is not uncommon to have deep, connected conversations with strangers about the raised awareness of many people on the planet.

These are only a few examples of widespread change that is affecting the way we view and operate in the world. We are operating in a different paradigm. Whole disciplines or fields are also metamorphosing into more conscious practices.

Heart connection

The heart is no longer just the organ that pumps blood through the body. It is no longer something that must be left at home, with your emotions when you go to work. And no longer considered second to reason. Increasingly we are hearing about the precious influence of heart wisdom. A voice not to be ignored. Heart nourishing is now seen as vital to every aspect of our lives – from disease prevention to ensuring brand loyalty.

People are connecting more and more through heart-based dialogue – even in executive boardrooms. There is also strong recognition of the importance of vulnerability and heart-based dialogue for connection with others. Only a few weeks ago I saw a post by a CEO asking for feedback on the connection between vulnerability and the influence of leaders.

Research is mounting that mindfulness and conscious practices can benefit each of us in all aspects of our lives. Corporations and law firms are hiring teachers to teach their staff mindfulness and other meditation practices all around the world. What a shift! Leaders are being taught these skills in leadership programs (sometimes under different names so as not to scare them off!).

There are measures of spiritual intelligence, calls for spiritually-based and compassionate organizations, and references to spiritual and holistic leadership. It all sounds very left field, however, these days it is not so uncommon to see the words spirituality, mindfulness, consciousness in mainstream venues and on mainstream programs in a variety of industries and domains.

No longer are yoga, meditation, mindfulness, and conscious practices just optional extras at “hippy” health retreats in beautiful remote areas around the world. They are now mainstream activities. And they are not only popular activities outside of work. They are also now an important part of corporate well-being programs.

People are calling for mindful mediators and psychotherapists, and groups are forming that promote conscious business practices. Coaches, counselors and psychologists alike are recommending mindfulness and conscious-based practices for stress relief, aiding mental clarity, the management of depression and anxiety, and the treatment of some personality disorders and so on. We have mindful eating practices to assist with weight loss and food enjoyment.

Conscious Psychology

We are also seeing the infiltration of mindfulness and meditation into the very scientifically guarded field of psychology, as ever-increasing evidence mounts for the benefits of mindfulness and loving-kindness meditation. Therapies that are mindfully-based, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, are quickly increasing in popularity in clinical and organizational settings. I predict that these therapies will one-day rival Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as the leading psychological treatment for depression, anxiety and a range of other issues.

Conscious Business

Business has not been left out of the shift to the Age of Consciousness. There are movements around the world from some of the most successful companies (Google, Amazon, Pepsi and so on) to shift away from traditional shareholder models to ecological models of business. When leaders of organizations view their corporation, organization or business as an ecosystem, they view each of the parts as equal to the other parts. Employees are just as important as customers, who are just as important as the community, who are just as important as suppliers, who are just as important as shareholders and so on. Some of the most successful businesses around are following these principles. Competitors that do not follow suit may find traditional business models unsustainable. People want to know that businesses care.

Conscious Law

It must be the final frontier when the legal system recognizes the need for the law to take the well-being of individuals and society into consideration. Judges and magistrates around the world are now taking well-being into account in their determinations. Get used to it – therapeutic jurisprudence is growing. Some lawyers in the US are now seeing their role as healers rather than warriors. They are now considering, not only legal rights, but the mental, emotional and physical health when advising their clients. Wow!

Times are changing and gradually a huge shift in humanity is taking place. And surely, in time, as the power shifts to those more consciously aware, as one day it will, so too, these destructive patterns of human behavior will cease or miniseries. We can only hope.

These are only a few examples of widespread change that is affecting the way we view and operate in the world. We are operating in a different paradigm. Whole disciplines or fields are also metamorphosing into more conscious practices.
