This Law of Attraction Pearl of Wisdom is one of the most important rules for effective manifestation.  It is deceptively simple, and most people probably think that they’re already doing it reasonably well — but I’m here to tell you that nothing could further from the truth.

Most people spend a large percentage of their time WORRYING about everything that could wrong and anticipating the worst — both of which qualify as thinking about what you don’t want!  For most, this insidious habitual way of thinking is entirely unconscious, and they are completely unaware of how much they are doing it.

It’s not surprising that this is the case.  The rational mind believes that anticipating problems is the best approach to avoiding problems even if, in truth, most of the worrying doesn’t solve anything.

The rational approach is certainly understandable for those who are unaware of the underlying laws of creation by which we construct our reality.  Unfortunately, unbeknownst to most, our rational approach in these types of situations is doing the exact opposite of what we expect.  The focus on the POTENTIAL problems and avoiding them are making them MORE of a potential rather than less!

From the rational perspective, what’s going on under the covers is more like magic.  We are creating the reality we perceive and experience with our thoughts, beliefs, and expectations!  This is the Law of Attraction, and it states that we attract people, circumstances, and things into our life that are similar to our most predominate thoughts.  Our external reality is like a mirror reflecting what we think and what we are.

What it is crucial to understand about this law is that it does not distinguish between what you want and what you don’t want, it simply brings to you the essence of what you think about.  The thought “I don’t want XYZ” and “I want XYZ” are identical as far as the Universe is concerned.  In either case, it only hears “XYZ” and it brings it to you.  When you think about what you DON’T want you are attracting what you don’t want!

Overcoming the Habit of Focusing on Potential Problems

When you approach situations anticipating problems and mentally focus on how to avoid those problems, you increase the chances of those very things happening.  The amount of difficulty you anticipate determines the amount of adversity you will experience along the way.

If, instead, you just assume and expect the best, and skip all the worrying, you will soon find that everything will go a lot smoother and more successfully.  This shift in thinking is by no means easy for the average person, who has the deeply ingrained habit of worrying and anticipating the worst.  At first, overcoming the habit and belief that you need to anticipate problems to avoid them will require lots of faith and trust, but if you stick it out you will end up having complete trust in the “expect the best” approach because you will have seen the results.

The first step to getting yourself out of this disempowering habit is to start try to become more aware of your thoughts and your words.  It can be pretty difficult to monitor your thoughts because there are just so many of them running through your head all the time. But, what you say is usually a direct reflection of your thoughts and your words are often easier to catch than your thoughts.  At first, this will be hard and you will occasionally catch yourself focusing on what you don’t want. When you do, shift your thinking to focus on what you do want.  With practice you’ll gradually get better at this until eventually you have created a whole new habit — one of focusing only on what you want, hardly ever thinking about what you don’t, and just about always expecting the best.

Overcoming the Habit of Worrying

Worry attracts problems; it’s that simple.  But how do you break the habit?

You can tell when you are worrying because it is always associated with negative and stressful feelings.  Sometimes our mind wanders into worrying about stuff without us realizing it; this is unavoidable.  Fortunately, it’s easy to recognize the uneasy feelings associated with worrying and these can be the cue that makes you aware of it.

What to do when you catch yourself worrying:

  • Immediately switch to focusing on positive thoughts about what you want.
  • Use positive affirmations to focus on optimistic visions of your desired outcome.
    • Here’s an example — let’s say you are an aspiring writer and author and you’re getting discouraged.  Maybe you are having recurring negative thoughts like “writing is so hard for me, I’ll never be a writer.”  Neutralize these negative thoughts by saying out loud, or in your head, something like, “I can LEARN to write better. With practice I can become a good writer and a successful author.”
  • Ask the universe for help — sometimes referred to as Prayer. Whether you know it or not you’ve got spirit guides that would be delighted to help, all you have to do is ask.

Becoming a Master of Deliberate Creation

We are always creating our reality with our thoughts but most of us are doing it unconsciously and our many misguided mental habits are causing us to manifest incoherently and ineffectively.  By INTENTIONALLY thinking about the things you want while INTENTIONALLY NOT thinking about the things that you don’t want, you pave the way for smoother sailing in your life at every level.

Trust the Universe, trust the laws of creation, and trust your creational abilities.  Consistently focus on only what you want and expect the best and you will be amazed at the ease, grace, and abundance that will increasingly enter your life.

4 Ways To Make BETTER Affirmations

Affirmations can be tricky, tricky things.

Affirmations are positive statements designed to focus our attention on having the things we want in life. Many students of the Law of Attraction use affirmations regularly to align with their goals and desires.

A well-constructed affirmation can tap you into the knowledge that all is well, and that you are capable of great things. A well-constructed affirmation can help you attract more and more of the good things you are hoping to manifest with the Law of Attraction.

A not-so-well-constructed affirmation can leave you feeling bored and uninspired, or even worse, irritated, sad or angry! A not-so-well-constructed affirmation will actually push away the things you want.

Therefore, it’s really important to construct your affirmations with care!

What makes a good affirmation?

There are a number of characteristics of a good affirmation. However, in my opinion, the most important characteristic of a good affirmation is that it feels true.

Consider the following.

You are a young woman who just got dumped and who has a bad relationship with your family. You are feeling alone and uncared for. You want to attract in new relationships that make you feel connected and loved, so you decide to practice some affirmations.

You find a few affirmations, and decide to use this one daily: “I am loved.”

Do you imagine reciting the affirmation “I am loved,” over and over is going to feel particularly true to you in this situation?

Probably not. In fact, saying “I am loved” to yourself over and over again when you are clearly NOT feeling very loved is only going to amplify the feelings of being unloved, not loved.

Whenever we feel we don’t have something we want, telling ourselves we have it is a surefire way to establish greater feelings of insecurity.

When we assert something we don’t believe we have, it makes us feel like we are lying to ourselves. It’s not a good feeling. It’s like telling a sad person to smile and be positive when he or she is sobbing uncontrollably. It just doesn’t work, and it only makes the sad person feel worse.

Telling yourself you have something you don’t really believe you have is the wrong way to use affirmations. An affirmation must feel true in order to amplify positive feelings of belief.

If your affirmations don’t feel true, modify them.

So, what do you do? If you want to attract love, are you simply supposed to avoid all kinds of affirmations about love?

No! You can still use affirmations about love, just modify them to make them feel true!

Below are six affirmation modifiers you can use to make your affirmations ring true on a more consistent basis. Consider adding modifiers to adjust your affirmations and make them more effective.

1. “I’m looking forward to…”

When there’s something you want that you don’t have yet, one thing you can affirm is your excitement to get what you want.

Adding the modifier “I’m looking forward to…” to the beginning of your affirmation allows you to focus on what you want in a positive way. It enables you to practice the feeling of positive anticipation, which feels good.

The truth is, you are looking forward to this thing you want. For this reason, this affirmation should always ring true.

For example: “I am wealthy and successful” might not feel too true when you’re living paycheck to paycheck. Instead, change this affirmation to “I’m looking forward to wealth and success.”

2. “It feels really good when I…”

Sometimes, there are things we want again that we’ve had before. In times like this, this modifier is especially useful.

This affirmation modifier allows you to remember (and therefore practice) the feeling of having something you had before in the past.

Practicing the feeling of what you had is a great way to get into better alignment with the desire to have it again. This type of modifier asserts that you’ve done it before and it allows you to feel good about something you’ve accomplished in the past.

For example: “I attract positive people and circumstances” might not feel too true when you’re having a bad day and find yourself surrounded by negativity. In a situation like this, change this affirmation to “It feels really good when I attract positive people and circumstances.”

3. “I am often/frequently…”

Similar to the previous modifier, this affirmation modification asserts that you’ve done it before. This is another great modifier to use when there’s something you’ve had before that you want to experience again.

For example: “I am appreciated” might not feel to true when you’re feeling criticized or overlooked. Instead, try “I am often/frequently appreciated.”

4. “…in many ways.”

This is a great modifier to enhance something you already have some of, but you want more of.

The nice thing about this modifier is that amplifies the knowledge of all of the many ways you already have exactly what you’re asking for. This modifier encourages you to think about and dwell on the many reasons why you are already successful at getting what you want.

For example: “I am prosperous” might feel somewhat true to you because you have a home, a car and some money in the bank. To feel especially true, and to amplify the feeling of prosperity, add the modifier by saying “I am prosperous in many ways.”

Try them out!

I hope you find good use for these affirmation modifications. Use these four modifiers liberally, and play around with them to see which ones work well for the desires you are hoping to attract!

Remember, an effective affirmation makes you feel good because it’s a positive statement that feels very honest and true. Modifiers like these can help you amplify the authenticity of your affirmations.

BRENDA BENTLEY: “Enlightened by the Light”

In anticipation of the amazing “strawberry” full moon and summer solstice, I found myself sitting outside mesmerized and pulled by the golden crimson fire in the sky.  The sunset was just as breathtaking as the golden glow of the moon. It reminded me of another gem in my treasure chest that I would like to share with you.  And that is the power and healing energy of light.

EnlightenedThe power of this Golden Healing Light emanates outwardly as well as inwardly when we learn how to tap into its radiant energy.  All we have to do is invite it in, and allow it to reflect our own states of awareness.  Let me share another guided imagery with you.  Ready?  Sit back, relax and enjoy.

Close your eyes and take three slow deliberate breaths, in through your nose and out through your mouth.  And as you do, say the word PEACE in your mind. Pay attention to the gentle rhythm of your breath as it enters and exits your body.

Allow yourself to feel fully supported as you simply settle down and, going deep within yourself –connect. When it feels right, see or feel something like grounding cords sprouting out from the souls of your feet, reaching deep into the core of the earth.  Feel yourself solid and one with Mother Earth. Continue to focus on your breathing with slow deliberate breaths until you are in a quiet, balanced state.

Now imagine gazing into a crystal blue sky.  See yourself dreaming, drifting, relaxed and peaceful as you gaze at the clouds floating by.  As you allow yourself to mentally drift, imagine a radiant golden light pouring down upon you and around you, covering your entire body and soul in a warm, loving glow.  Feeling secure and at ease, simply allow yourself to become more and more relaxed with each breath you exhale, as this golden column of light fills your entire being.

Visualize this light resting in your heart.  Let your attention gently slip away from any outside thoughts and follow this light into your heart.  There you will hear a loving voice that resonates deep within you.  Relax.  Breathe.  Listen.

This is the voice of your Higher Self, gently guiding you toward your Heart’s Desires.  Ask your Higher Self: “What is it that I desire?”Take a moment now to tap into this inner wisdom and allow yourself to be guided by your angels, your spirit guides, the ascended masters or whoever is present with you today. Notice, what are you attracting?  Invite the energy around you to reflect, magnify and draw you to the vision that is held deep within your soul. What longs to be created?

Enlightened

As you continue to breathe and focus on your heart’s desire, notice what pulls your attention away.  I invite you to look at these distractions in a nonjudgmental way.   Are they fears, worries, blocks or beliefs that no longer serve you?  As you continue breathing, envision that these obstacles are being relinquished – pulled out of your consciousness by gravity, down through the grounding cords in your feet –to be replaced with new patterns for creative expression, love, joy, happiness and whatever else you desire to draw to you. Freely release them to Mother Earth.

EnlightenedImagine your conscious and unconscious mind coming together to form a single focus, like a needle on a compass, pointing directly toward your dream.  Focus on it like a laser beam. Set your intentions and direct your energies toward the power of the brilliant sunset and golden beams of the moon.  Remember, that you do have the ability to manifest and co-create whatever you desire.

Your higher self is in direct alignment with your deepest visions.  All you have to do is line yourself up with it and know that this inner voice is available to you at any time This voice is all-knowing, loving and powerful, competent and wise, safe and subtle.  Quietly focus your attention onto this inner guidance and let your awareness become totally receptive to follow your higher guidance.  Ask it to assist you with the creation of your heart’s desire.

As you sit in quiet solitude with your spirit guides, listen to what they have to say to you.  When you are ready, slowly open your eyes and awaken to all that is. You have been enlightened by the light. Remember to use this golden gem whenever you are inspired to do so.

Establish connection with Higher-Self/Guides to move out old fear programs, and clear implants in your energy field template.

The 5 Steps to Negative Ego Reprogramming:

1. RELABEL – Identify the negative thought or emotion as a distorted pattern of negative ego consciousness. This “Fear” is my Negative Ego. This is not the real me.

2. RE-ATTRIBUTE – Dis-identify from the thought or emotion as you. You begin to master your emotional states and you can begin to choose. I am the eternal being, not my thoughts or emotions.

3. REFOCUS – Move yourself out of situation, environment or the trigger for that thought. Go for a walk, listen to music, change your focus.  Affirm: Not my will but Divine will.

4. REVALUE – Revalue the power you have given this thought or emotion to rule your life.  See it for what it truly IS. Limiting you. Disempowering you. Robbing you of inner peace and fulfillment as a Divine being. Get behind ME, Ego! I AM that I AM!

5. REQUEST Help – Commit to expressing Higher Emotion and Living your Soul Purpose. Ask for help from Spirit. Work your tools. Be here NOW!

 

DAILY GOAL Monitor and Track your SELF Awareness, by Cultivating “THE WITNESS”

The Witness or Observer has no judgment. It allows observation of external events without needing to control the outcome. Practice this intentionally as a daily exercise by monitoring:

Mental Awareness – Often our minds fall into a groove that has a certain tone or resonance to it. Sometimes our mind is agitated and sometimes our mind is very calm. We are expansive and receptive when we are calm, centered and mentally relaxed. When our mind feels agitated and stirred up, we then become constricted and energetically blocked. Agitation, anxiety and worry often indicate that we are operating in the active Beta brain wave state (which is where most adults operate from) .When our mental body and mind feel calm and flowing, it means we are in the more relaxed Alpha brain wave state (where children generally operate from). Try to operate from the relaxed Alpha brain wave state as much as possible since that expands and allows more energetic flow into your body. You will experience greater ease in your life and begin to go with the flow, allowing yourself to receive more “spiritual- energetic” support into your daily life.

Self-Talk Awareness– We talk to ourselves with an inner dialogue all of the time. We talk to ourselves over 50,000 times a day and what we say to ourselves determines to a large extent the quality of our lives. When you begin to meditate and hold more periods of inner silence, you will be amazed by the amount of self-talk you start to witness in yourself. Try to begin tuning in as much as possible to what you are saying to yourself in the still places of your very receptive mind.

When you get anxious and notice a self-defeating program of your ego taking over, go to the next daily practice tool as a REFOCUSING EXERCISE and apply breath and self-forgiveness.

 

DAILY PRACTICE TOOL  Self Application of Forgiveness

USE WHEN TRIGGERED INTO NEGATIVE PROGRAMMING OR UNLOVING THOUGHTS TOWARD YOURSELF (i.e. worry, anxiety, self-doubt)

Breathe in and slow down your body by applying breath. Take in deep inhale 4 counts, Hold in 4 counts, Exhale 4 Counts. Do this for 4-8 counts until you feel totally out of your mind programs and in your full “presence” of breath- The NOW presence. The goal here is getting you OUT of your mind program and INTO your PRESENCE. This can happen when you apply breath. Your mind has to release. Reprogramming is most effective when done outside of the mind, when you are engaged in the “observer” mode of your full present consciousness.

Now Invocate:

I forgive myself that I have accepted and allowed myself to experience _________________.

(Minimum of 3 sets, then work with the breathing exercise again if you feel you have lost “now” moment presence, for a total set of 9 sets of commands for each item chosen)

You choose the item you feel is most pressing for each “set” of the exercise. You may want to alternate daily or work on one issue you know is pressing consecutively for 21 days until you feel emotionally freed from the memory or pattern. You can choose.

Some sample suggestions:

  1. Lack of Self Love or Acceptance
  2. Lack of personal power/fear or limitation
  3. Entities and people dominating me or sucking my life force.
  4. Poverty consciousness or lack of a self-identity (lack of trust in God/Goodness)
  5. Self-doubt/worry

 

REPLACE THOUGHT AND AFFIRM: 

I AM THE POWER, MASTER AND CAUSE OF MY EMOTIONS AND MENTAL STATE!

Intention is everything. What you experience daily in your life–how you act, what you speak and how you feel affects every human being around you. Once you realize the domino effect created by shining your light on others, it becomes very contagious.

1) Seek Your Truth

The truth will set you free but first it will piss you off. No matter how discouraging or how many people oppose your truth, never stop seeking it. Both truth and wisdom are available only to those who have the courage to question what they have been taught.

2) Believe Anything Is Possible

All things are possible regardless of perceived limitations. Don’t be bound by limits of others or those you impose on yourself. At the fundamental level of reality, all is dictated by our beliefs and expectations. We are pure energy, and there is infinite potential in that energy.

3) Give Service To Others

Cultivate a habit of serving others — sharing your money, knowledge, service, wisdom, care, love. Find a person who serves others and you will find a happy person. In giving, you always receive more. Giving has many unexpected benefits from attracting more happiness into your life, to inspiring others, and changing the lives of those you touch. In the end the whole world is made into a better place. It is a universal law. You only get back what you put in.

4) Broadcast Your Light

A difficult proposition for many, especially those who perceive others with fearful interpretations or having done them wrong. Regardless of how you perceive others, see the love and creative source in all, for even those who play a role you disagree with, are still taking a path which will lead them to the same place as you. Shine your light on those who need kindness, love and compassion the most. It invites them into your circle of love and that broadcasts in a manner that is so expansive across the universe, that it is felt in galaxies as far as you can comprehend.

5) Everything Is Exactly Where It Is Meant To Be

You will never have any experience in your life without being part of that vibrational reality. You’re on the same frequency as every single event you interact with. Filter through the chaos in your life and that of the world. All things perceived as positive or negative transmit vital potentials in the functioning of duality and polarity consciousness. They do not need to be fixed. They are exactly where they need to be. People are on the path that will lead them to their highest good, even if you disagree with it. Know that as difficult as it may be for you to accept at times, others are always on their best path, so honor it without judgement.

6) See The Creative Source In Everyone and Everything

Source, God, Allah, Yahweh, Jehovah or whatever else you would like to call it, is all the same and there is only one. It is in everyone and everything. It is in every molecule that makes all that is. It is everywhere spanning across all of time and space instantaneously. See the God in everyone you interact with, regardless of their beliefs, religion, race, age and any other system of separation humans hold dear. If you see the God in them, it creates a commonality that allows you to share love in a very unique way that transcends some of the highest levels of judgement experienced as a human beings. Why is it that many of those who we consider enemies have been our greatest teachers? All relationships resolve back to a common denominator–love. See it for what it is in all that you encounter and you will not only honor what you are, but also what they are.

7) Follow Your Passion

Let yourself be curious. Ignite curiosity for your passion and a world you can’t see. Recognize the recurring themes in your life and how it creates a pattern for you to either follow or change. What themes or lessons seem to constantly surface in your life? What are you drawn to again and again? Learn to investigate the difference between disagreements and personal attacks, between feedback and criticism and why they exist. If you are not enjoying it, you’re probably not that passionate about it. Make a planned shift to making a livelihood out of what you are most curious and passionate about. The money will follow.

8) Be In Gratitude

Appreciate what you have and value it. Try counting your positives and be grateful for all the good things and people in your life. If you’re concerned about wealth and success, know that these can be whatever you like. Abundance comes in many forms. Treat failure as an opportunity to learn a new and better lesson from life, and that’s the trick to manufacture optimism and be in an eternal state of gratitude. Once you have a grateful outlook on life, you will also have increased life satisfaction, happiness, optimism, hope, and less of all those emotions perceived as negative.

No change starts outside of yourself. Change starts first from within. It is impossible to accept the inherent beauty in all living things if we cannot accept our own beauty. It is self-programming.
